There are multiple sites that offer huge catalogs of GIFs that you can use for free in your campaigns. You can also create your own GIFs using a video that you have created.
To find and add a GIF to your campaign:
Go to the email step of the campaign you want to add the GIF to and click edit.
Find the image component icon on the right-hand side of the email editor.
Drag and drop the image component to the desired location in the email.
Search for the GIF you want to use online. We are using Giphy for this example.
Use the search bar to find the animation you want to use. Click on the preview to access it, then click the Copy Link button.
Go back to the email editor and click on the image component you added.
On the right-hand side of the editor, click on the Image URL field and replace the existing URL with the URL of the GIF you copied.
All set! You can now control the size and the placement of the animated image in your email.
To create a GIF:
You need to have a video created previously that we want to convert into a short animation. You can use one from your YouTube or Vimeo accounts.
The following sites allow you to create a GIF from a video: giphy.com, imgflip.com, and ezgif.com.
We are using Ezgif.com for this example.
Click on the Video to GIF tab.
Click on the Choose File button and select the video you want to turn into a GIF or copy and paste the URL of your YouTube video.
Click on the Upload Video button.
Select the start and end time of the video you want to turn into a GIF. You can also change the size of the animation here.
Click on the Convert to GIF button. We now have a small animation that we can download.
Click on the Save button to download the GIF to your computer.
