Dynamic Groups allow users to create contact groups automatically based on filter criteria, eliminating the need to manage group membership manually.

How to Create Dynamic Groups

  1. On your Campaigns Dashboard, navigate to the Contacts section.
  2. Click "Create Dynamic Group".
  3. Enter the Group Name and select a color for it.
  4. Click Save
  5. Click "Add Match Filter" to open the filtering options.
  6. Click the "+ Add a Match Filter" again to choose the criteria you want to use.
  7. Click Apply once you've set the criteria.
  8. Repeat steps five to seven for every criterion you want to set and click Save to start filtering contact.

How it works

  • When a contact’s data changes, the system automatically re-evaluates the filters.
    • If the contact now meets the criteria, they’re added to the corresponding dynamic group.
    • If the contact no longer qualifies, they are removed from the corresponding dynamic group.
  • After a CSV import or third-party sync, the system will automatically add new contacts to dynamic groups if they match the criteria.
    • Selecting a dynamic group as the destination for new contacts is not possible.

Available Filters

Each filter supports either a value range or selection, depending on its type.

  • Opportunity Score
    • This is a default group with options: "Gold, Hot, Warm, Cold" and cannot be edited at this time.
  • Age
    • Calculated daily based on the "Date of Birth" field.
    • You can select a minimum or maximum age for the filter.
  • Source
    • A limited set of options is available and may not reflect all the contact sources from an advisor.
    • The Source field currently shows those options:

      • Redtail: Contacts coming from Redtail

      • Wealthbox: Contacts coming from Wealthbox

      • Salesforce: Contacts coming from Salesforce

      • Practifi: Contacts coming from Practifi

      • Salentica: Contacts coming from Salentica

      • Forwarded Email: Contact coming from form “Forward this to a friend”

      • Leading Response: Contacts coming from Lead Response

    • You can select multiple options for the filter.
  • Investable Assets
    • You can select a minimum or maximum number of assets for the filter.

  • Income

Important to know

  • Deleting a dynamic group does not remove the contacts. It only deletes the logic group.
  • It is not possible to manually add or remove a contact from a Dynamic Group
  • Age is calculated daily using the current date.
  • Group membership is re-evaluated in real time when filters are updated.
  • Updates to filters apply immediately upon clicking Save.
  • Contacts imported via CSV cannot be forced into a dynamic group unless they match the criteria.

Pro Tip: Automatically enroll new contacts into a campaign of your choice by linking the dynamic group via the Auto-Subscribe settings.
