Learn what affects email delivery and choose the right next step when messages bounce, land in spam, or receive fewer opens and clicks.
Can every email reach the inbox?
No email service can guarantee inbox placement. Correct sending-domain setup and a healthy sender reputation help reduce delivery problems, but providers such as Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo also evaluate message content and recipient behavior.
Delivery, inbox placement, and engagement are different
- Delivery: Whether a receiving email server accepts a message. Domain Health Metrics include a Deliverability Rate, Bounce Rate, and Complaint Rate.
- Inbox placement: Where an accepted message appears, such as the main inbox, Promotions, or Spam. A healthy Deliverability Rate does not guarantee placement in the main inbox.
- Engagement: How recipients interact with your emails, including opens and clicks. Engagement can fall even when messages are delivered.
Promotions placement is not the same as a bounce or spam placement.
Start with these three checks
- Confirm your sending domain is set up and verified. DNS records help email providers recognize that Snappy Kraken is authorized to send on your domain’s behalf.
- Review domain health. Look for flagged rates and consider the domain’s sending volume. Rates reflect a fixed 30-day window and update nightly, not live.
- Review your audience and email content. Invalid addresses, spam complaints, low engagement, and heavily promotional messages can affect reputation or visibility.

| Investigate fewer opens or clicks | Why did my email opens or clicks drop? |
When to contact Support
Contact Support if delivery problems continue after checking setup, domain health, and list quality. Include the affected sending domain, when the issue started, a recent email subject and body, and the audience used. Explain whether the issue involves bounces, spam placement, or lower engagement so Support can investigate the right problem.
