What this article helps you do
- Understand why you might see a generic error when connecting Facebook to Snappy Kraken and,
- how to resolve it by completing required verification in Meta Business Suite first.
Before you begin
- Ensure you have access to Snappy Kraken Campaigns product
- You need admin (or appropriate) access to the Meta Business Portfolio (Business Manager) and the Facebook Page you’re trying to connect.
- You may be prompted to complete security verification (for example, two-factor authentication) in Meta before you can assign or manage a Page.
- Your business page must be part of a business portfolio in the Facebook Business Suite in order to be linked.
- Per Facebook's policy, this integration will not connect to your personal Facebook profile.
Verify Your Account
When you connect Facebook to Snappy Kraken, Facebook redirects you through Meta’s integration flow where you select:
- Your Meta Business Portfolio
- The Facebook Page you want to connect
In some cases, Meta requires additional verification before the Page can be assigned or accessed. If you get a generic error message when attempting to integrate, you can try verifying your account outside of Snappy Kraken.
This most commonly occurs when:
- A Facebook Page is being claimed or added to a Business Portfolio
- Facebook requires two-factor authentication (2FA) before allowing the action
- The user account or Business Portfolio has security requirements that require additional authentication
- The Page has not already been properly assigned to the selected Business Portfolio
Part 1: Confirm the Page is assigned in Meta Business Suite
- Log in to Meta Business Suite (outside of Snappy Kraken).
- Open the correct Business Portfolio.
- Confirm the Facebook Page is already associated with that Business Portfolio.
Part 2: Confirm you have the right access and verification is complete
In Meta Business Suite, confirm:
- Your Facebook account has the necessary access to manage the Page.
- Any required 2FA or security verification has been completed directly with Meta.
- The Page is fully available inside the Business Portfolio.
Part 3: Re-run the connection in Snappy Kraken
Once the Page is assigned and any verification is complete in Meta:
- Return to Snappy Kraken.
- Run the Facebook connection again.
- Select the same Business Portfolio and Facebook Page.
Because the Page assignment/verification was completed directly in Meta, Facebook should no longer need to launch an unsupported verification prompt during the integration process.
What happens next
After the connection completes successfully, Snappy Kraken will be able to access the connected Facebook Page as expected.
Troubleshooting
I still get a generic error
- Double-check you selected the correct Business Portfolio and that the Page is visible and assigned within that Portfolio.
- Re-check whether Meta is requiring a security step (2FA, device verification, or other prompts) that hasn’t been completed yet.
- If multiple team members manage the Portfolio, confirm there aren’t additional admin approvals or security requirements pending.
When to contact Support
Contact Support if you’ve confirmed:
- The Page is assigned to the correct Business Portfolio in Meta Business Suite
- Your account has the correct permissions to manage the Page
- 2FA/security verification has been completed
…and the connection still returns a generic error.
