If your Facebook Business Portfolio has been restricted, we recommend creating a new Business Portfolio directly through Meta Business Suite and connecting your Facebook Page to it before attempting to reconnect Facebook to Snappy Kraken.
Step 1: Create a New Business Portfolio
First, log in to Meta Business Suite and try to create a new Business Portfolio.
Meta provides instructions for creating a Business Portfolio here:
Create a Business Portfolio in Meta Business Suite
If Meta allows you to create a new Business Portfolio, there is no need to delete the restricted portfolio first.
If Meta does not allow you to create another Business Portfolio because you have reached the limit for your account, you may need to delete an unused or restricted Business Portfolio before continuing.
Important: If you need to delete anything, make sure you are only deleting the Business Portfolio. Do not delete your Facebook Page.
If there are Pages or other assets connected to the restricted portfolio that you need to keep, we recommend removing them from the portfolio before deleting it.
Step 2: Add Your Facebook Page to the New Business Portfolio
Once the new Business Portfolio has been created, add your existing Facebook Page to it directly through Meta Business Suite.
Meta provides instructions for adding a Facebook Page to a Business Portfolio here:
Add a Facebook Page to a Business Portfolio
This step should be completed entirely within Meta before attempting to connect Facebook to Snappy Kraken.
If Meta indicates that the Facebook Page is already associated with another Business Portfolio, you may need to remove or release the Page from the previous portfolio before it can be added to the new one.
Step 3: Connect Facebook to Snappy Kraken
Once you have confirmed that the Facebook Page is successfully connected to the new Business Portfolio:
- Return to your Snappy Kraken account.
- Select Connect Facebook.
- Sign in with the Facebook account that has access to the new Business Portfolio and Facebook Page.
- Select the existing Business Portfolio and Facebook Page when prompted.
- Complete the connection process.
If Snappy Kraken Asks You to Create or Claim a Business Portfolio
If Snappy Kraken asks you to create a new Business Portfolio or claim your Facebook Page, stop the connection process and return to Meta Business Suite.
This generally indicates that the Business Portfolio or Facebook Page has not been completely configured within Meta.
The goal is to have the Business Portfolio and Facebook Page completely set up and connected within Meta first. Once that is complete, Snappy Kraken should simply connect to the existing Meta setup rather than creating or claiming those assets during the connection process.
If you continue to experience issues after completing these steps, please contact support@snappykraken.com and let us know what you are seeing during the connection process so our team can assist further.
